Parenting Tip #1: Don’t Worry… Go Country!
It has come to my attention that I thus far have neglected to share with you any stories of mayhem regarding my loving and crazy experiences with my 11 year old daughter... lol. So begins a new category here at Retroactiv: Parenting 101. I have so many great stories to tell, but for today, without further adieu, I bring you Parenting Tip #1.
Parenting Tip #1: Don't worry if your child gives you shit when they are getting ready for school. Rise above it. Your the adult - maybe. Lol. Nothing corrects negative behavior like rocking some K105 Country on the way to school. That and be sure to tell them "Y'all have a splendid day - I luv yins!" when you drop them off. This seemed rather effective today, and it scored an 8.5 on the "eye-roll-at-dad-as-he-drives-away" scale.
I also belted out a "Yee Haw!" when I left the parking lot. She was already inside though. That one was for me.
